The Fund's mission is to support the rescue homeless and abused pets, raise awareness about the issue of homeless pets and their treatment, and highlight the linkages between animal cruelty and other crimes. We provide policy analysis and capacity building services for animal welfare. We assist Animal Control Officers and Law Enforcement Officers with eduction and training on animal welfare laws, requirements and implications. Our goal is to end the pervasive animal cruelty problem in our state and make Texas a non-kill state, starting here with Aransas County. Before starting the Fund, we began to raise money for these goals through the sale of our private label food and wine, pet toys, personally-crafted kitchen goods, and tasting patio. Now that the Fund has been established, we rely on donations from people like you, although a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every one of Italian Cowboy products still goes directly to the Fund.
